North Shore takeout spot known for a three-cut smash patty blend (short rib, brisket, and chuck), brioche bun, griddle onion, pickles, and proprietary Rocks Sauce.

BWB Shakes launched in May 2020 in Highland Park's Ravinia District with a takeout-first concept built around bowls, wings, burgers, and shakes. The kitchen leans heavily into made-from-scratch execution and a neighborhood-focused format, with outdoor seating but no traditional dine-in room.
What sets the BWB Smash Burger apart is the patty blend: ground short rib, brisket, and chuck. That three-cut approach drives a richer flavor profile than standard single-grind smash programs, then gets finished with griddle onion, pickle, and proprietary Rocks Sauce on brioche.
At 76, the score reflects solid execution and strong local platform signals, with limited Tier 1 editorial depth so far. A first-party team visit and additional critical coverage would likely tighten confidence and clarify upside.
The burgers were truly standout and ranked with some of our favorites.
