Dreamburger started in 2021 as a pop-up at an East Nashville barbershop and grew into one of the city's most sought-after food trucks, now permanently parked outside Vinyl Tap record store on Greenwood Ave. What began as a weekend project became a nationally recognized smashburger operation - ranked #23 globally on Burgerdudes' World's Best Burgers list in 2024, the highest-profile recognition any Nashville smashburger has received.
Two ultra-thin Black Angus patties are smashed hard on the griddle with onions pressed directly into the meat, creating crispy lace edges and deeply caramelized flavor. The Dreamsauce - made with hickory-smoked whole plum tomatoes - is the signature element that sets this burger apart from every other smash in the city. At $9 for a double, it's also one of the best values in Nashville's burger scene.
The patties, the onions smushed into those patties, and even the pickles are paper-thin, but deliver intense flavor through their signature dreamsauce, made with hickory-smoked whole plum tomatoes.
It has, after all, become one of the city's most buzzed-about bites.
Wow does DreamBurger make a good freaking smash burger! Retro-inspired and short-but-solid playlist of smash burgers.
The meat's crust is impressive with very tender and juicy patties. Dreamburger serves burgers in a really cool environment where visitors can enjoy a burger, visit a record store, have a beer and listen to live music in the same place.
Dreamburger is a food truck parked at Vinyl Tap, with killer smashburgers, and even vegetarian options! It's inexpensive and delicious.
Dreamburger cooks their smash burger perfectly, creating a ton of that beautiful burger lacing on the edge. The crinkle cut fries are also perfectly done.
