An Andersonville arcade bar where the kitchen takes the food seriously. The Smash Burger - stacked with house-fried pickles and caramelized onions - keeps drawing regulars back.

Replay Andersonville opened in September 2015 on N Clark St as the Andersonville outpost of Chicago's Replay barcade concept, adding food to the mix for the first time in the brand. The kitchen was built by Chef Bernardo Ibarra, formerly sous chef at Stephanie Izard's acclaimed Girl & the Goat, and Steve Farbstein, formerly of Luxbar - credentials that explain why the Smash Burger punches well above the typical arcade bar level.
The Smash Burger stacks two quarter-pound patties with applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, arugula, and fried dill pickles on a buttery bun - the fried pickles being a house touch that elevates the standard build. Consumer reviews consistently call this one of the city's hidden gems, with multiple reviewers citing it in their personal top-5. That's uncommon praise for a bar-focused venue.
Replay Andersonville serves a broader menu; this assessment focuses specifically on Smash Burger.
I had the Smash Burger and I can honestly say that might be in the top 5 best burgers in the city!!
Both my partner and I had the Double Smashed Burger and we loved our selection!
Absolutely delicious, well seasoned and packaged well - the bacon double cheeseburger with fried pickles and hand-cut fries was a great combo.
A great place to grab a burger, shrimp tacos and fried pickles.
Burgers were great. Staff was very courteous with amazing hospitality.
Maybe a little above average at best, but inconsistent - the arcade and beer are the real draw.
Delicious smashburger with good tater tots - would've liked a single patty option.
